Again this year, A. F. Sterling Homes is the title sponsor of the 2008 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson Bowl for Kid's Sake. The event is the Tucson community organization's most important fundraising event. Funds raised go directly toward matching at-risk children with carefully-screened, caring Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers.

Randy Agron, vice president and chief of operations for A.F. Sterling Homes, has been named 2008 chairman of the board of the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA).

A certified public accountant, Agron has worked for Ernst & Young, Dun & Bradstreet, and the Ashland Group. His auditing expertise is in real estate, building, health care and high-tech industries. Agron was SAHBA treasurer for two years and has served four years on SAHBA's executive board.

A.F. STERLING HOMES was recognized on National Philanthropy Day, October 30, 2007 as a Spirit of Philanthropy Honoree by The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Southern Arizona Chapter.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the professional association of individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of nonprofit, charitable organizations. Founded in 1960, AFP promotes philanthropy through its local chapters throughout the world working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs.

Two large-scale projects — a development of 54 closely spaced single-family homes and another consisting of six office buildings — may be the last developments of their size in the Catalina Foothills.

The projects are spread across 23 acres along East Sunrise Drive west of North Pontatoc Road. Both are being developed by Tucsonan Peter Aronoff.

Tucson, AZ — A.F. Sterling Homes has received the 2005 Builder of the Year Award from the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA) in 100 to 499 home closings category. The award marks an unprecedented fourth time the Tucson home builder has received this prestigious honor.

Criteria for selection included service to SAHBA and home building industry, community involvement and sound business practices including quality standards, presentation of model home and trade partner relations.

Brack has been with A.F. Sterling Homes since 1992 most recently serving as the company's General Superintendent. He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University.

Randy Agron, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for A.F. Sterling Home Builders, has been named Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA) treasurer. He replaces the retiring Chuck Myers, who retired from Compass Bank a year ago.

Agron, a native Tucsonan and UA grad in marketing with an MBA, has been with A.F. Sterling for six years, the first five as Controller. He also has five years of financial auditing experience with Ernst & Young, primarily in real estate, building, health care and high tech.

As Treasurer, Agron will also serve as a member of the SAHBA Executive Committee.
